    we catch these in hudsons bay(off of quebec) and everyone around has always called them "ugly fish" ....does anyone know what this fish is actually called?

    The look very similar to a plecostomus which is a type of catfish. But they are usually found in warmer waters and they're something you would buy at a tropical fish store.

    Im not sure what kind of fish it is.. But sure is UGLY!! I wouldnt eat it. Just because it looks like A bottom feeder..

    Sculpin. They come from less than an inch long to most likely huge, if the body of water they're in supports them. They are an important Trout food in most clearwater streams. This is what Muddler Minnow flies imitate.
